Establishment of a central program management

Initial situation

  • Globally active automotive group based in Germany
  • Multitude of projects and programs, applications and excel sheets led to an intransparency within the procurement of the group
  • Processing of 3,500 IT security measures was not running smoothly and required optimization
  • Quality of the processed measures was capable of development since it focused on closing tickets quickly instead of pursuing a sustainable solution


  • Consolidation of all running 14 programs as well as bundling of the results in order to use synergies and create higher quality results

  • Establishing a project team as a central point of contact for all programs and training participants to ensure knowledge transfer across the group

  • Introducing documentation and automated reportings for management and individual program areas using Jira

  • Ensuring a sustainable approach by developing a customized procedure within Group Procurement
